Don’t use your disabled toilet as storage!

When you take the steps to become a more accessible business , any little thing you do is helping you to move your business forward and enhance the customer experience for disabled people.

You might be looking at installing a ramp or a hearing loop, perhaps moving objects from aisles, having large print menus.

Wheelchair user Kath Phillips, says that people are becoming more aware of disabilities and want to do the right thing. But she says, sometimes, a business will be making positive changes, but overlook something crucial – the toilet.

Kath’s top tip for businesses is to let people use their accessible toilet and not to use it as an extra storage space! and make sure that there is room for a wheelchair-user.
